Renew your mind!

Change the way you think, the Bible Way

All our actions are nothing but results of our thoughts. The way we react to others, the way we talk and behave, the way our life goes, our success and our rise all depend upon our thoughts that are present in our mind. Today’s most common mind related problems are around the voices that come in our mind and lead us to commit wrong decisions sometimes even to the extent of harming ourselves and others.

Over the years, I have personally battled over negative thoughts, worked over with a rough personality, been through the ups and downs of real life and have so learnt the many secrets of coming out from negativity and have since transformed myself from a repulsive personality into a pleasant and warm one by the help of precious principles from the Bible.

So then, here is the secret!

Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (NLT)

The key is to change the way we think. Its to reprogram our mind into thinking as per the principles of the Bible. It is to reprogram our mind into what God wants us to do in each situation.

Why reprogram the mind? Because, our mind is a reflection of what we see, we hear and observe about the things that surround us – our environment, our family, culture, traditions, language, etc., We are all a result of a combination of all these things, not forgetting our upbringing and the family or society that we are living in.

Sub-consciously, our mind is always picking up the things that are spoken off by other people, the patterns of business, behavior and responses of other people and so on and we are a copy of that. So, to think in the Bible way is to renew our mind into thinking right. Let me give you some examples of how to make it happen!

If you are the person who gets easily angered, it’s a result of a wrong pattern of thinking that you have picked up along the way. So to overcome anger, start speaking to yourself saying, “I will not get angry with anyone or behave in a rude manner. That’s not what I am. I choose to be peaceful of my own decision. What others do to me, I am not going to treat them back with a harsh response. I choose to always spread Love in the place of Anger or Hate. This is what Jesus would do.”

Try making this statement a part of your lifestyle by thinking over and over on these lines and ultimately your new thoughts will take over into new actions and so bring peace and health to you. I have just given one example, write down in your book, several such healthy thoughts and read them over and over until they become your new lifestyle.

The Bible talks about the woman with the issue of blood who suffered for 12 long years. Her mind was probably screaming to her that its no use whatsoever expecting a miracle from Jesus, she had tried everything for the past 12 years and nothing worked out, yet, she spoke to her mind the things that were healthy and positive and received her healing.

Matthew 9:20 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. 21 For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.”

Notice the above words, “She said to herself…”

Here’s a list of things that you might consider to Renew or Reprogram your mind into thinking the right way:

Don’t forget to write down a list and practice the new way of life regularly by memorizing it in your mind, reprograming all the way……

Cheers!!
