Shofar Tabernacle is a Christian Organization, a Ministry that is ordained by God from His divine mandate given to Pastor Sumeet MJ by the Holy Spirit by the revealed word from Romans 15:18-19 - "to make the Nations Obedient to the Gospel by Mighty Signs and Wonders by the Power of the Holy Spirit."

About the Shofar

Shofar stands for a Ram’s Horn. It is an instrument that sounds like a Trumpet and is used frequently in Biblical times at the beginning of a war or at its end to herald victory or to warn an imminent attack of the enemy.

Shofar is a divine instrument used by God before it was ever used by man, as the sound of the Shofar God descended on Mount Sinai in Exodus 19:16,19 made the Israelites to tremble. Therefore, Shofar in description is the strongest audible expression of the supernatural, enchanted divine intervention of God. It continues to have a powerful impact on the imagination of people through the ages.

OUR STORY

A Call of God - Tested and Proven

Shofar Tabernacle was founded in the year 2009 after a divine mandate given to Pastor Sumeet MJ by the LORD confirming the Word that was spoken by the Lord’s Prophet Late Bro. D. Arul Raj (Chennai, TN) a few years before in a Prayer Conference.

The ministry in its initial days witnessed mighty Signs, Wonders and Miracles by the Glorious Power of the Holy Spirit and scores of unbelievers began to accept the LORD JESUS as their personal Savior. Out of the hundreds of Miracles witnessed, only few were recorded and saved in the Archives of the Ministry.

After the success of the “Evangelical” Ministry, the Holy Spirit impressed on Pastor Sumeet to always keep “Prayer” as the Strong Foundation of the Ministry. A few days later, the need arose where the unbelievers had to be trained in the scripture for a strong foundation and understanding of the Christian Faith and hence “Teaching” Conferences were conducted. Parallelly, many charitable works were also being done to demonstrate the Love of Christ. Eventually, these 4 activities became the Pillars of the Ministry namely - Evangelism, Teaching, Prayer and Charity.

Over the years, Shofar Tabernacle Ministry has comforted thousands of Souls with compassionate heart-felt prayer and intercession and thus has brought scores of people out of Spiritual Darkness, Bondages and Impossible situations according to the Anointing upon the Ministry in the Word of God below,

Isaiah 61: 1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
